About CWS
.

Hi there,

I'm Lucian Mihailescu and I'll be one of your CWS Teachers. I am a Romanian by origin and a Canadian Citizen since 2005. My wife is Rosy -- she is my best companion for life and work! -- and my daughter is Alexandra -- my precious girl, she is in her first college year, I'm proud of her being very smart and thoughtful!

I have a BS in Computer Science obtained at the Bucharest University. I taught Computer Science in a High-School in Romania for four years, then I worked as a computer programmer in Industry and Internet. I am self-emplyed and my company LucianWebService.com

I am involved in Volunteer Christian Web since 1997, when we started a Web Ministry back in Romania. That was the first christian website for my denomination (Seventh-Day Adventists) in Romania at that time. With God help our Ministry grew in a large portal named "Intercer Romania", placed in the top 10 Romanian Spirituality websites. Since February 2008 we opened a ministry here in Canada, called "INTERnational Christian Education & Relief Society" -- or shortly "Intercer Canada". "Intercer" is an abbreviation for "Internet to Heaven", in Romanian "cer" means "heaven". Our goal for our ministry is to direct people to God's Heavenly plan of Salvation, through our Lord Jesus Christ and help them with their social needs here on earth. We were blessed to know and work with many excellent people in this ministry.

My dream since 1997 was to be able to do just Christian Web Development and Training. This dream partially came true after I came to Canada. Since 2002 I work as a sub-contractor with SimpleUpdates company from US. Working with SimpleUpdates - a team of devoted professional Christians -- is a blessing and it gave me the opportunity to grow professionally and to improve also our web ministry. One of the major projects that I worked, was to develop a website system for all Adventist churches (AdventistChurchConnect.com) and schools (AdventistSchoolConnect.com) in North American Division (US, Canada and Bermude). There are now 2600+ churches and schools into this system and they add up every day!

We host and administrate numerous Christian websites (both English and Romanian). Over the past 2 years I presented live Church Internet Workshops (related to ACC/ASC) organized by the BC Adventist Conference here in Canada (in Vancouver, Kelowna, Camp Hope 2007 and Camp Hope 2008) and also in Romania (10 seminars in 7 cities in the summer of 2008).

I realized that I may never have time to dedicate myself to do just what I really like and I am best at it... I can start right now!

Dealing with a lot of work to do (both business and volunteer), I realized that I may never have time to dedicate myself to do just what I really like and I am best at it: teaching other people how to use Christian resources on the web. But now I think I am at a point where I need to share more what I learned with God's help in all these years, so other people can continue the work with more efficiency. I should not wait to retire to do this (as I thought before!), I can start right now!

I had an opportunity to do something similar just for four months (in 2001, before I came to Canada), when a friend from Germany at that time (Lorin Negosanu) sponsored me to work just for our web ministry. It was a blessed time when I added many features to our website.

I plan to invite other web specialist friends to use their professional expertize for you.

Today I start another journey with God and with you all, by faith!

I love the "mustard seed" parable that Jesus told us in Matthew 13: 31, 32 and I apply this parable also to the website work. Today we planted a very small mustard seed starting this website. And today I start another journey with God and with you all, by faith! I don't know how this will go, but I pray that one day I will be able to live just through the work that I do here (the mustard seed will be "a tree at that time"), training others to train others (you'll have your "web nest" here in our tree!) for the God's Kingdom! Amen.
